A Royal Affair

I have been so busy these past 2 weeks! My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary this past Sunday...so, I was busy gift shopping on top of new purchases for our house and awaiting lots of new furniture to be delivered!! I have also been busy planning this coming long weekend away in NYC to continue our anniversary celebrations! So, needless to say I am very behind here in blogger land :-(

I want to share this picture below to get us all in the British mindset.  This gorgeous wall hanging arrived last week. I purchased it from RU Piper Designs on Etsy.  Make sure to check out this shop when you have a chance! This sign is a great addition in our office! So excited for William and Kate's upcoming Royal Affair!

Love my Surroundings...

I definitely relaxed and enjoyed every moment of this past weekend. I finally took time for me...to enjoy the beautiful weather and loves of my surroundings. I am sure my hubby was happy that I didn't drag him into any stores...not even 1 Macy's, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Home Goods, or Crate & Barrel...just to name a few!

Instead my boys visited with family while I cleaned up from breakfast and got ready for our spa time at our favorite...Canyon Ranch .

Saturday night after a great workout, sun time, spa rejuvenation, and a friends BBQ...we arrived home to a gorgeous delivery that even my hubby was happy to open!

I enjoy browsing One Kings Lane everyday! All of their items are wonderful but, this is my first (of many future) purchases.

These 2 pictures show you the "drum's" new home...our TV room! We love our new addition!

Had to share one last pic of how my boys relax in their surroundings...I think Palmer is spoiled rotten!! I just spoke with fellow blogger and friend Erin about how her sweet pup Rica is trained to only put her paws on furniture if there is a blanket down...hmm...do you think it's too late to train our 19 month old!!??

What's in store for your weekend?

I plan to relax on our front stoop with a cup of java, my hubby and puppy after a great workout at Canyon Ranch.

Oh, and most likely with this in my other hand...

If you don't have a copy of this decorating book...you can find it for a great price at Amazon .  This is a must in every home!

Last weekend we purchased a cabinet from HomeGoods with the idea of it going in our entryway/living room. 

I love it but, it isn't large enough for this area.  Any ideas to fill this space would be great! We have a few ourself so let's see what we find this weekend...

Oh...and those lamps are another project! Shades are from HomeGoods and bases from Target .

I have found a few versions of my ideal sofa for our office/guest room...but, none of these lovely options come with a sleeper sofa. Having this dual function is key to make our office a COZY guest room as well.
