March is a PINCHING kind of month!!

My husband and I spent some time on Sunday fulfilling our registry at Pottery Barn (it's only taken us a year to do this simple task! We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary on April 17th)...fun, fun...yes, only if you weren't as indecisive as I! We ended up completing our glassware for a set of 8...thinking its just the two of us...how many tall, short, champagne and wine glasses do we actually need?!

The sales associate at PB was really encouraging us to complete our set with 12 of each. She asked, "Do you entertain?" We typically don't...but, would like to and have actually been chosen by my mother in law and sister in law to host Passover dinner this year...which is only 1 month away and our dining and living room furniture hasn't arrived yet! I am really excited and honored to put on my hostess hat/apron...just, hope we have a table and chairs...so do we or don't we need a set of 12??

After hand washing 16 of the stemware that won't fit in my dishwasher yesterday...you would think that I would decide against completing the set with 12 each. But, as you will see below in the picture...Pottery Barn's PINCH collection (that has actually been discontinued) is too gorgeous for me to pass up. And, my mother in law's advice rings clear in my mind...upon, purchasing our first home Jan. 2011...she stressed to us to find a home with a dining area large enough to host family gatherings...so, I am guessing she would encourage 12 and I trust her words of wisdom!

I love all things "pinched" especially this Anthropologie shower curtain that I purchased for our guest bathroom! Notice the pinch pleats around the top edge...just delightful!

What kind of stemware do you LOVE and how many are in your set?? Do you get as much JOY out of all things "pinched" as I do? If so, what are some of your faves?? With St. Patty's Day fast approaching...hoping you get all the pinches your heart desires ;-)

  1. Well, I must agree with your MIL... 12 is the way to go. It really does help when entertaining, even if it's not that often.. there's nothing worse than being unprepared!

This post also made me giggle, b/c I thought the hard part about registering was deciding what to register for, not deciding what to buy from your registery after the fact! True cjz style! :)

    Love the new blog!
